What this site covers

This is an independent comparison of residential internet plans in the United States. It lists 28 plans from 10 providers across fiber, cable, 5G home internet and satellite. It does not cover business plans, bundles with TV or mobile phones (except the phone-line discount on 5G home plans) or every regional provider. Providers outside the table are listed under "Other providers worth checking".

Where the prices come from

Each plan is labeled with where the price was confirmed:

  • the price (or at least the entry price) was visible on the provider's own site when we checked.
  • the price comes from a comparison site or price tracker. Many providers show address-specific prices or block automated checking, so we could not confirm these on the provider's site.

Sources used for this update:

Prices in different sources sometimes disagree, for example where a promotion changed. When sources conflicted we preferred the provider page, then the most recent tracker, and noted the conflict in the plan details.

Many provider and source sites block visitors from outside the United States or show a bot check, so a link may open with "Access Denied" or "Region not available" depending on where you are. We check all outgoing links regularly and confirm that each address is valid; the block is on the provider's side.

How the 24-month cost is calculated

For each month from 1 to 24 we use the advertised price, then the regular price after the promotion or price guarantee ends, and add any monthly equipment fee. One-time setup fees are added once (you can turn this off). Plans that state a multi-year price guarantee use the same price for the guaranteed period. Some tables do not list the price after a promotion; in that case the 24-month cost is shown as "at least" and uses the first price for those months. Taxes, surcharges, optional equipment and promotional credits are not included.

The phone-line option replaces the listed price with the lower price for customers who also have a phone plan with that carrier. Because the price after a promotion is not published for these plans, the bundled total is treated as a minimum when the promotion ends within 24 months.

Limits

  • Prices and offers change frequently and differ by address.
  • Speeds shown are advertised download speeds. Cable upload speeds are typical values; 5G and satellite speeds vary.
  • Availability is not checked. Use the provider's address checker or the FCC National Broadband Map (opens in a new tab).
  • Provider names and trademarks belong to their owners. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any provider.

Independence

This site does not sell internet service, does not earn commissions on sign-ups, and the "Visit" links go to the provider's own pages without tracking parameters. If that changes, it will be disclosed here and next to the affected links.

Corrections

If you see a price that differs from what your provider shows, treat the provider as correct. Please use the Contact page and we will fix it.
